For February and Black History Month we have books For February and Black History Month we have books sharing stories about Black history, poems, biographies, joy and more. We participate in the Little Free Library Read in Color program. Read in Color is a new initiative bringing diverse books to Little Free Library book-sharing boxes around the world. By committing to Read in Color we will distribute books that provide perspectives on racism and social justice, celebrate BIPOC and LGBTQ voices, and incorporate experiences from all identities for all readers. Less than 25% of children’s books depict non-white characters. We believe everyone should be able to see themselves in the pages of a book. We also know that books can be a window into experiences that are different from our own. By reading diverse books, we can increase understanding, empathy, and inclusion.

These exclusive editions are available only on tap for a fleeting moment, with a new variant unveiled every week. These exclusive variants, available only on tap for a limited time, will be replaced weekly with a new offering. Keep an eye on our social media for the weekly announcements of each variant, and visit our tap room promptly to experience them before they’re gone. Kicking off our series of releases is the special Vanilla-Walnut Tollhouse variant. Thanks to the bountiful harvest from our large black walnut tree, which also provides ample shade in our beer garden, we’ve skillfully combined Tollhouse Stout with vanilla and these local walnuts. This unique blend results in a beer with a deep black hue, accented by copper highlights and a robust tannish head. The aroma is dominated by sweet vanilla, complemented by a hint of earthiness. The stout, full-bodied and well-balanced, marries the roasted bitterness typical of an American stout with the vanilla’s sweetness and the walnut’s earthy, tannic nuances. As you enjoy this smooth, easy-to-drink stout, you’ll find its flavors deepen and enhance with warmth.
