Here's how it works:

1. Bring your plants in containers or plastic bags, and be sure to label them with the plant name and preferred growing conditions (sun, shade, part sun), and a brief description of what it is and where it grows best (bloom color, time of year they bloom, etc).
2. Place your plants in the designated location for shade, sun, part shade, vegetable, herb, seeds, houseplants, or gardening equipment. Our volunteers will be there to help you with this.
3. "Shopping" for plants will begin at 12pm for everyone who has brought something to swap.
4. At 1pm, shopping will be open to anyone who would like plants for their homes but wasn't able to bring anything to swap.

We kindly suggest a $3 donation for the Mt. Healthy Renaissance Project. Let's get our green thumbs ready and have a blast swapping plants! 🌱🌷

It is Little Free Library’s 11th nonprofit birth It is Little Free Library’s 11th nonprofit birthday this week during Little Free Library week! πŸŽ‚ They became a nonprofit organization in May of 2012 and the rest is history.

With over 160,000 Little Free Library book-sharing boxes around the world and millions of books πŸ“š shared, the Little Free Library community has accomplished so much in 11 years.

We’ve had our own library in front of the beer garden for the last two years and have given out over 1,000 books. We also participate in the Little Free Library Read in Color program. Read in Color is an initiative bringing diverse books to Little Free Library book-sharing boxes around the world. By committing to Read in Color we distribute books that provide perspectives on racism and social justice, celebrate BIPOC and LGBTQ voices, and incorporate experiences from all identities for all readers. Less than 25% of children’s books depict non-white characters. We believe everyone should be able to see themselves in the pages of a book. We also know that books can be a window into experiences that are different from our own. By reading diverse books, we can increase understanding, empathy, and inclusion.
